CROSS COUNTRY

Our Cross Country runners took part in the final competition of the
Dunbartonshire Schools Cross Country League on Saturday at
Kirkintilloch. Every one of the runners gave 100% and the results were
fantastic.
However, our sympathies go to Catriona Booth who was lying in second
place in her race with only about 100 metres to go, when a painful
hamstring injury forced her to pull up.
The P7 boys team finished 2nd winning silver medals
John Brechany - 10th
Nicky O'Brien - 11th
Blaine Lang 18th
In the girls p7 race Caitlin Trotter finished in 3rd place winning
individual bronze.

Cross Country Winning Results

Once again our Cross Country runners have done us proud. In very
difficult slushy and icy conditions at Mugdock they managed to win 16
medals.
This
is the biggest haul of medals so far for Bearsden Primary.
Congratulations to all the pupils who took part. The P7 results are as
follows.
P7 BOYS TEAM:- 2nd PLACE- SILVER MEDALS
John Brechany 8th
Nicky O'Brien 9th
Blaine Lang 16th
As this team was only put together at the last minute on Friday this is
a great result.
P7 GIRLS INDIVIDUAL:-2ND PLACE - SILVER MEDAL
Catriona Booth 2nd
Caitliin Trotter 5th
Again there were not enough runners to make up a team, however, if
there had been there was a strong possibility that they would have
achieved gold medal position.
Amazing results! Well done runners you certaily deserve your medals!
Plenty of room for more runners. Why not come along to the final race
on Saturday 13th..you never know you COULD just win a medal!
